After we inaugurated new premises at our Berlin location earlier this summer, our offices in Potsdam were openedin August. 

With this move, we have further expanded our capacities in the federal state of Brandenburg. In addition to the company headquarters in Kleinmachnow and the growing number of test locations, capacities for further 12 jobs were created in Potsdam.

In order for the mobility transition to succeed reliably and CO2-neutrally, a comprehensive charging infrastructure must be established and powered by renewable energies.

With our container-based EK200 product, this will succeed in rural areas far from the metropolises and main roads, even where there is no grid connection. One system will be able to supply 50 cars a day with a range of 200 km.  

Accompanied by a Formula E film team, a Jaguar I-Pace could now be charged with electricity from the EnerKíte system for the first time. The full amperage of the charging adapter was reached.  

A successful demonstration for the charging station of the future, which provides electricity exactly where it is needed, at exactly the time it is needed. And even mobile and temporary.

It was again a great pleasure to be part of the Ecosummit 2020.
The Ecosummit Zoom Event on August 4, 2020 again brought many important players to a digital table.

During the event, Alexander Bormann from EnerKíte presented our current pitch to almost 60 participants. The focus was on commercialisation and market entry, after EnerKíte has been moving clearly towards market entry since last year. These steps were possible with the breakthrough in the concept proof of the rotation start, the team building and the development of the EK200 FP prototype.  In addition to the pilot activities with the EK200 FP, EnerKíte intends to raise funds from strategic investors for scaling and industrialization.

The feedback from the participants in this ecosummit was consistently positive. Our clear vision, the persistence in the implementation and the first successes were acknowledged by the experts.  

But just as important as addressing professional investors is the support of our crowd investors. We remain excited about the launch of our crowdfunding campaign EnerKíte 2020.

EnerKíte was awarded the Efficient Solution Label of the Solar Impulse Foundation as one of about 600 sustainable innovations worldwide. This confirms that the EnerKíte EK200 system under development promises an excellent balance between profitability and sustainability.

Independent experts examined our prospective product in detail according to five criteria in a standardized process. The main criteria are feasibility, environment and profitability as well as compatibility with the United Nations' sustainable development goals. EnerKíte plants not only contribute to an affordable and clean energy supply, but also implement the sustainability goals in the area of resource efficiency. In application scenarios, as part of an integrated solution, they enable a clean water supply, reduce expenses in the area of charging infrastructure and help communities in rural areas to create local added value by supplying green electricity themselves.

About the Solar Impulse Foundation

The Solar Impulse Foundation was founded by solar plane pioneer Bertrand Piccard after he circumnavigated the world in his solar plane. Piccard wants to network leading players from industry, politics and finance and urge governments to adopt a more ambitious energy policy with ambitious environmental goals.

Decision-makers in industry and politics will be presented with the 1000 Solutions to convince them that the future belongs to technological innovations that are both economical and environmentally friendly.
